Skin Health

An individual approach to recurring and troublesome skin concerns

Skin problems can be uncomfortable, highly visible and sometimes distressing. They may also change over time or fluctuate alongside factors such as stress, hormones or environmental exposures.

My approach is to understand the skin concern within the wider context of your health and your individual circumstances.

Skin concerns people may seek support for

  • Eczema
  • Acne and recurring blemishes
  • Dry, itchy or irritated skin
  • Recurring rashes
  • Skin changes associated with hormonal changes
  • Skin symptoms that seem to fluctuate during periods of stress
  • Warts and molluscum
  • Other recurring skin concerns

New, severe, rapidly changing, infected, unexplained or persistent skin problems should be appropriately assessed.

Homeopathy and skin health

Homeopathy has been at the heart of my practice for 9 years and is highly individualised. I look at the particular characteristics and pattern of your skin symptoms alongside your general health, sleep, energy, stress, emotional wellbeing and health history.

Homeopathy can be used alongside dermatological and other medical care. I do not advise stopping prescribed topical or oral medication immediately, but this is something that can often be reduced or discontinued over time as healing takes place.

Functional Nutrition and the skin

I am also a qualified Nutritionist, having qualified with Distinction. In some circumstances, nutrition, digestive health and lifestyle factors may be relevant to the wider picture, and these can be explored individually.

I do not assume that every skin problem is caused by food or the gut. Nutritional recommendations are based on the individual rather than applying unnecessary restrictions.

Functional Testing & supplements

Where there is a clear reason, functional testing may be considered to provide additional information relevant to an individual nutritional programme. Testing is not automatically recommended for every skin concern.

Where nutritional supplements are appropriate, I can also provide access to professional-quality practitioner supplements at a discounted price.

Your consultation

Your consultation gives us time to understand when your skin symptoms began, how they behave and what else may have been happening around the same time. Consultations are available in Wimbledon and Sutton, as well as online.
